PENNY – ‘ARCTIC CHRISTMAS WONDER’

The wait is over! After five months in the making, Glassworks Amsterdam, in collaboration with Neverest and Serviceplan, is pleased to announce the release of our latest creative project, “Arctic” for Penny Deutschland. Conceived, scripted and directed by three of our shining talents, Darren MacPherson, Rüdiger Kaltenhäuser, and Hugo Rodríguez, “Arctic” presents a beautiful story of giving which shows that Christmas doesn’t need much. Only love.

I’m pleased to have been part of this beautiful  Christmas commercial. Being my first big project since joining the 3D department at Glassworks Amsterdam, I’m very proud to work with such talented people, on such an amazing project.

As a 3D generalist on this project I took on work in multiple areas. I have been responsible for all the camera matching, matchmove and a lot of geo creation. Secondly, I helped in asset creation like the ice skates, background skaters, cars, teddy polarbear and more. But finally, and most amazingly, I got to be part of the lighting and rendering process. I tackled multiple shots and scenes in light matching from set. When matched, characters and assets were imported and light was creatively adjusted to create the best look, feel and message that we wanted to convey.
